Our Big News!

Well, It is better when Emma tells it...but we are having a baby!!!
Emma is really excited! We took her to the doctors appointment with us and she was in awe to be able to see the baby! She points to my tummy all the time and says "You have a baby". She also loves to kiss my tummy too. She is going to be a great big sister. She also likes to look at the ultra sound picture. She wants us to show her where the head and everything is....which you can't see. The baby is so small we tell her, but she still wants to know, so we "show" her. She loves it. The first time we "showed" her she said "oh" and left the room then we heard her yell "I can't see it!!" We had to laugh, because we can't either. :)
We are due June 10th. I am super nervous. I hope I can be a good mother to another baby and Emma! Emma has been so, oh, I don't know the word....hard. :) I just feel so inadequate, but I want another child and I want her to have siblings, so here we go!! Just pray I have a quiet one next. :)
I have been a little sick. The normal nausea and my sense of smell is through the roof, but I am dealing with it. Tyler was out of town all last week and I thought I wasn't going to make it. I was not cut out to be a single mom. It was so hard. Being sick and being alone with Emma was tough. He came home on Saturday and life has been heavenly!!! I love him so much. He has been so good to me and takes such good care of us. He took this whole week off so I have him home and I am enjoying every minute of it. Oh, the joy! Absence makes the heart grow fonder and more grateful too. :)

Yeah a baby. You'll do great promise. I think two is good, don't get me wrong there are crazy days, but I think Emma will be a super big help. I can't wait to see him/her. You guys have beautiful babies. Good luck girly, hopefully you start to feel better soon.

I would just like to say that I KNEW IT!! You can ask Barrett. I've been telling him that I think that you might be pregnant, but I didn't know for sure because I hadn't asked. I thought about asking when I came to dinner that one Sunday, but I NEVER ask anyone, I just wait for them to tell me or I hear it from someone else. I don't even know why I thought you were, I just did! Congrats!

Hooray! I am so excited for you! I saw it on your sidebar and I was going to email you today, but now I just get to respond to this post instead. And that overwhelming feeling you have of being inadequate....well, I wish I could tell you that it goes away with the more kids you have, but it doesn't. You never feel like you are doing it right, ever. :]

Congrats!!!! I am so excited for you guys. Hopefully we'll join the 2-kid club soon. (I'm listening to the video of Emma trying to climb out of her crib and dying with laughter. The will power of a 2 year old is simply amazing!) Congrats again!!!

I was so glad to see so many posts on your blog and see all the fun pictures! Congrats again on the pregnancy. By the way, missed you this morning at play group, but I wouldn't have gone either if my husband took the whole week off. Love ya and call if you need anything ok?!

Congrats Laura! That's so wonderful and I am sure that you will be fabulous with two children. I can truly empathize about having your husband gone. It makes for a passionate reunion, which is always a plus. ;)

Yea - YEA!!! Congratulations on your news. It will be wonderful and you will be amazed at your ability to love and balance the needs of two (or more!)
So, did you just make all those posts? I have checked your blog regularly, but haven't seen any updates since the Labor Day post. Then, all the sudden, there were LOTS. Is it my computer, or did you put a whole bunch of new posts on at once? Weird!

-I don't know that I have ever seen 21 comments on a blog in my life! Yay!
-It was great to see you and Alissa, your Mom and little girl last Saturday!
-I just scanned through a bunch of your blog the other day, but didn't get a chance to respond until now!
-As of this morning now each of our kids have taking a food coloring bath - thanks to your post on your blog!
-I LOVED seeing the very happy day for your Mom of Tyler, Eric, James, and Alissa all graduating the same day!
-I loved reading one of your "tagged" list of thoughts. I LOVE children's picture books too! I own some, but wish I owned tons! I also lived in Cedar City, and I also never broke a bone! And yes, me too, on being a worrier, and nights are harder. When I have some serious worries on my plate it gets really bad!
-Anyway, I think I scrolled back as far as last February 2008 before I stopped!
