Happy Halloween!
We had a busy Halloween today, but it was fun! Emma totally got the concept of going to house to house and getting candy and putting it in her bag. She isn't stupid! But I think she was just as excited about the dogs that were at each house we went to also! She was so cute! She was a little goldfish and she was adorable! Everyone told me the holidays are fun with kids, and so far they are absolutely correct. I can't wait for Christmas! :)
We also stopped by my old place of employment, Transportation Alliance Bank a.k.a TAB and visited some old friends. It was good to see everyone. It will be 2 years in January that I left, it is crazy how fast time goes by. Emma loved all the candy she got there also, and kept going to peoples desks for more. She would put one sucker in her mouth, suck on that for a second, then see another one, and want that one next. She was in heaven.
We also went to Grandma and Grandpa Groves and had sloppy joes and took pictures with Rulon and did a little trick or treating. It was fun. We then visited Great Grandma and Grandpa Groves and Grandma Young. It was a long and eventful night!
We sorted the candy when we got home tonight and will started the first annual Parent Tax on Halloween candy. :) (Thanks Leo!) Hope everyone had a nice Halloween also!

Stake Conference
I just got back from Stake Conference, and it was so good! It was a Regional Broadcast Conference with President Eyring, Elder Snow, Elder Oaks and Sister Johnson. It was so good. It was like listening to General Conference all over again - a bonus week! :)
The Stake Adult Meeting was great last night too. My talk went good, according to Tyler and others, and I feel good, it is always good to bear your testimony, it does strengthen it. Plus, I feel good because it is over! I was so happy when I came home, more happy than when I left that is for sure. WHEW! What an experience.

Speaking...
I have to bear my testimony in our Stake Conference Adult Meeting tonight. I am really nervous. Ahhhh.... I don't know why this has been a challenge for me, probably because it isn't a written out planned out talk....oh I dunno, I just always get nervous preparing for these things. This year in our Stake they challenged everyone to study and memorize The Living Christ document, and that is what they want me to base my testimony on. Wish me luck. Tyler and Emma are napping right now, and I would love to be napping too, but I can't relax! :) Maybe I should go do some yoga. :)

Happy Birthday Eric!
Today is my brother Eric's Birthday. He is 26 years old! He's getting up there huh! This shout out is for you Eric!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
He is taking his big Engineering Test on Saturday. He has been studying his brains out and is very tired and nervous. But he is so smart, I am sure he will do just fine. Keep him in your prayers.
Yoga
So I started taking a Yoga class on Thursday Nights, with my Mom and Vicki (my sisiter in Law) and I really like it! It makes me feel more in touch with my body and helps me relax. I am so stiff and tight all the time and yoga helps me feel more un-stiff, boy that was profound. I use it all day as I try to breathe and relax...like when I go to bed or when my neck is so tight it hurts. Love Yoga, all must try it! As a matter of fact as I was looking for a picture on the Web, I really did see that ALL can try it. Even kids! Check this little one out doing Yoga. Yoga is for EVERYONE! :)

The Street is done
I finally went out and took pictures of the street and the house finished. It is a beautiful day, but most of the leaves have fallen off our little trees. But it still looks nice. Having those trees makes such a big difference compared to the other streets they re-did and didn't give everyone a tree. Good Job South Ogden from learning from their mistakes.

Looky, Looky, Guess who's Thirty?!
On my Birthday, September 2nd, Tyler surprised me with a Surprise Birthday Party! Everyone asks me if I was surprised, and I was, but I knew something was up, but I didn't know exactly what or when. It was in our backyard, we had a BBQ and lots of family and friends came. It was so nice. I felt so loved that Tyler would go to all that work for me, and so surprised that my friends did such a good job keeping it a secret from me. You guys are sneaky!!!
Tyler gave me a bunch of beads and a kit to make jewelry for my birthday. I was surprised about that. If you read my list, it wasn't even on there. But he knew what I would enjoy! I have loved make jewelery for myself and others, I will have to post them on the blog sometime.
Happy Birthday to me!

A ROAD!!!
Three Weeks ago we got our ROAD!!! I thought having a driveway was nice, having a road is nice too!!!!! It is beautiful don't you think!?
They are doing the landscaping now and we got trees last week!!!! They are laying the sod as we speak...pictures of the completed project are pending...stay tunned!
A Daddy's Love
A few months ago, Emma woke up with a start and screamed, I went in to check on her, and she didn't want anything to do with me. I just put her down and she ran into our room and climbed up with Daddy. She has never done anything like this before, I was surprised that she found where she was going in the dark. Tyler helped her up, though he remembers nothing of this, he is a dead sleeper and she snuggled into his arm and immediately went to sleep. I couldn't believe it. I just stood there waiting for her to start crying again, but she didn't. I let her sleep there for about 15 minutes and then put her back to bed. I guess there are sometimes when you just need your daddy...
The Shed
We also got a great deal on a LifeTime Shed this summer, thanks to Tyler's cousin, Travis. Thanks Travis! Now we have a place to store all our stuff. :) Emma loved helping us put it together. She is still fascinated with it, I think cause it is just her size. Tyler also poured the pad of cement it is sitting on. Our backyard is looking so nice thanks to him. He is such a hard worker. Love him!
Driveway
We got our driveway about a week after the sidewalks. Can I tell you how much of a luxury that was to be able to drive into our driveway and park!? So nice! We hadn't been able to do that for over a month! No more cutting through the neighbors backyard to the car! YEA!!!
We ended up widening the driveway so we could back out and have room. It was mess dealing with the city and workers, they said one thing, and did another, what a surprise... and since it is in the past and we want the whole mess to be over, let it just suffice it to say that we HAD to pay for it and it is the most expensive 3 feet of cerement on the street and we love it! :)
Sidewalks!
Money, Money, Money!
Tyler was taking a nap on the couch one day this summer and I was doing something around the house when it got quiet. I went into the living room and found that Emma had found Daddy's wallet and what a find that was! She pulled all the money out and the cards and was putting them on Daddy! Poor Daddy had no idea he was being robbed!
Hanging with the Cousins
Emma took Swimming Lessons this Summer
Emma loved taking swimming lessons in June at the Layton Surf and Swim. I couldn't get her to hold still or stay put for nothing to take pictures. So this is all we have. She loved the water and didn't want me to hold her especially in the deep end. She thought she could touch like she could in the shallow end, ah, my little independent girl. She loves to "swim" in the tub now and does so much better at getting her face and hair wet after swimming lessons. And mom loved getting a little tan! :)
Lots of Catching up to do...
So I am finally updating the blog, I want to get this caught up so I can stay on top of it. I am finally finding some free time and I want to blog during that time. It is nice to keep an online journal and keep family and friends in the know of what we are up too. So here comes a landslide of things that have been going on in our lives!
