We got our driveway about a week after the sidewalks. Can I tell you how much of a luxury that was to be able to drive into our driveway and park!? So nice! We hadn't been able to do that for over a month! No more cutting through the neighbors backyard to the car! YEA!!!
We ended up widening the driveway so we could back out and have room. It was mess dealing with the city and workers, they said one thing, and did another, what a surprise... and since it is in the past and we want the whole mess to be over, let it just suffice it to say that we HAD to pay for it and it is the most expensive 3 feet of cerement on the street and we love it! :)

Thats cool idea, I wouldn't have thought of that, but I bet its so worth it like you said. These streets are so skinny. HOw nice, all the things we take for granted, so nice to park on your own street.
